Tonight is my last exam. To procrastinate, I've decided to enter a journal entry. I'm trying to decide what's worse: writing an essay, or studying for math. Studying for math is theoretically simple. I mean, it's all concrete, mechanical problems, right? A professor won't read over your math exam and write at the bottom "A few good points were made, but you missed the whole point of the questions. C-". But math is NOT all mechanical, and recently the math courses I've been taking have thrown me a curve ball: they're open book (there goes my cheating strategy). Now with essay writing, which I must write for January 9th on Buddhism, you need to have a whole different frame of mind. I've come up with a theory to writing essays: Write what the Professor wants to read. If you can figure that out, then you've got yourself an A+. Time to hit the books...but maybe a quick game of Doom first.
